The work 97D by Atsuko Tanaka was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. The auction ended at the price of HKD 3,000,000.00 (€ 316,547.95), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Atsuko Tanaka have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Work in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 12,700,000.00 (€ 1,499,054.61).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit 97D von Atsuko Tanaka wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 3.000.000,00 (€ 316.547,95) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Atsuko Tanaka auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Work im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.700.000,00 (€ 1.499.054,61).
