A top price for Tan Choon Ghee - as previously expected
The work Landscape by Tan Choon Ghee was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 260,000.00 – 360,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 29,006.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Landscape is the most expensive artwork by Tan Choon Ghee that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Landscape von Tan Choon Ghee kam im Dezember 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 260.000,00 – 360.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 29.006,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Landscape das teuerste Kunstwerk von Tan Choon Ghee, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
