Upper estimate price exceeded by 76 %.
This artwork by Takeru Amano achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in May last year. In the Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Venus sold for HKD 79,050.00 (€ 9,384.93) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 45,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Takeru Amano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Leda And The Swan (Painted In 2020) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 252,000.00 (€ 257,341.30).
