In December 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Boundless: Contemporary Art, which included the work Murakami X Complexcon Mr. Dob (2 Works) by Takashi Murakami. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,323.57), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Takashi Murakami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Lonesome Cowboy in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 15,161,000.00 (€ 9,743,573.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Murakami X Complexcon Mr. Dob (2 Works) von Takashi Murakami zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.323,57) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Takashi Murakami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Lonesome Cowboy im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.161.000,00 (€ 9.743.573,26).
