Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tahia Halim could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction, this work without title changed hands for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,163.37) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tahia Halim achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Farhat Al Nuba (The Happiness of Nubia) in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 749,000.00 (€ 697,328.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tahia Halim konnte im November 2020 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.163,37) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tahia Halim erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Farhat Al Nuba (The Happiness of Nubia) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 749.000,00 (€ 697.328,00).
