Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tahia Halim could be acquired at Christies in Dubai in March 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Middle Eastern Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (Peasant Scene) changed hands for USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,132.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tahia Halim achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Farhat Al Nuba (The Happiness of Nubia) in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 749,000.00 (€ 697,328.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tahia Halim konnte im März 2019 bei Christies in Dubai für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Middle Eastern Modern & Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Peasant Scene) für USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.132,88) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tahia Halim erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Farhat Al Nuba (The Happiness of Nubia) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 749.000,00 (€ 697.328,00).
