Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2008 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Girls on a Felucca by Tahia Halim. Here, the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 158,500.00 (€ 124,980.29). Admittedly, works by Tahia Halim have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Farhat Al Nuba (The Happiness of Nubia) in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 749,000.00 (€ 697,328.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girls on a Felucca von Tahia Halim zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 158.500,00 (€ 124.980,29) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tahia Halim auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Farhat Al Nuba (The Happiness of Nubia) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 749.000,00 (€ 697.328,00).
