It achieved a price of USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,764.14), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Theodore Lux Feininger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Schiff Im Golf Von Siam (Ship In The Gulf Of Siam), which sold at auction in February 2019 for GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,247.03).

Die Arbeit Die Lotsenkutter von Theodore Lux Feininger kam im Juni 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.764,14) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%.
