Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Asia: Hong Kong Edition, which included this untitled work by Szeto Lap. The price achieved of HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,514.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Szeto Lap achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Silver Chateau in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 122,793.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Hong Kong Edition durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Szeto Lap zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.514,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Szeto Lap erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Silver Chateau im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 122.793,85).
