Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Szeto Lap was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,546.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Szeto Lap achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Silver Chateau in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 122,793.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Szeto Lap wurde im Mai 2014 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.546,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Szeto Lap erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Silver Chateau im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 122.793,85).
