This artwork by Szeto Lap achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. In the Modern Asian Art auction, the work European Landscape sold for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 22,533.00) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Szeto Lap have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Silver Chateau in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 122,793.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Szeto Lap erzielte im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Asian Art wurde die Arbeit European Landscape für HKD 200.000,00 (€ 22.533,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Szeto Lap auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Silver Chateau im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 122.793,85).
