Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sydney Lough Thompson could be acquired at Christies in New York in June 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Church In Brittany changed hands for USD 437.50 (€ 301.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sydney Lough Thompson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New Zealander Dutch Seascape in November 2009 with an auction result of AUD 26,400.00 (€ 16,098.12).
