In December 2007 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Pictures, which included the work A Market Scene In A Town Square by Sybrand van Beest. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 19,700.00 (€ 26,768.96), 31% above the upper estimate. Other works by Sybrand van Beest have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 31,000.00 in June 2011 for the work La Place Du Mauritshuis À La Haye.

Im Dezember 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Market Scene In A Town Square von Sybrand van Beest zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 19.700,00 (€ 26.768,96) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Sybrand van Beest haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von EUR 31.000,00 im Juni 2011 für die Arbeit La Place Du Mauritshuis À La Haye beobachtet.
