Artwork auctioned at four times the pre-set estimate
When the work Malerstamm Caspar by Jörg Immendorff was auctioned at VAN HAM in September 2015, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 25,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at EUR 101,150.00. Admittedly, works by Jörg Immendorff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ende Gut, Alles Gut (All'S Well That Ends Well) in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 288,000.00 (€ 426,949.66).
Kunstwerk zum Vierfachen des Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Malerstamm Caspar von Jörg Immendorff im September 2015 bei VAN HAM versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 25.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 101.150,00 mehr als viermal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jörg Immendorff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ende Gut, Alles Gut (All'S Well That Ends Well) im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 288.000,00 (€ 426.949,66).
