Artwork auctioned at seven times the upper estimate price
When the work Curaçao Nude by Suzanne Perlman was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2021, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 5,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than seven times as high at GBP 37,800.00 (€ 43,981.17). Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Suzanne Perlman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Nude with Surinamese Drapery sold at auction in May 2021 with the realized price of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 51,311.37).
Kunstwerk zum Siebenfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Curaçao Nude von Suzanne Perlman im Mai 2021 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – GBP 5.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit GBP 37.800,00 (€ 43.981,17) mehr als siebenmal so hoch. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Suzanne Perlman; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Nude with Surinamese Drapery im Mai 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 51.311,37).
