Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Barn Scene with Livestock by Susan Catherine Waters for USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,979.73). This price was achieved in the auction American Furniture, Outsider and Folk Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Susan Catherine Waters have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2012 by the work Still Life: Hanging Game at USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,889.23).
