Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work An Album of Chinese subjects including four portraits, two still lifes, four studies of Chinese birds, two studies of Junks and one of insects by Sunqua was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2000. It achieved a price of GBP 2,350.00 (€ 4,023.10), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sunqua achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Hongs of Canton, showing the French, American, British and Dutch flags in May this year with an auction result of GBP 60,480.00 (€ 70,368.88).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit An Album of Chinese subjects including four portraits, two still lifes, four studies of Chinese birds, two studies of Junks and one of insects von Sunqua kam im April 2000 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.350,00 (€ 4.023,10) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sunqua erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Hongs of Canton, showing the French, American, British and Dutch flags im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.480,00 (€ 70.368,88).
