Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sunayani Devi could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Untitled (Childhood) changed hands for GBP 6,930.00 (€ 8,210.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Other works by Sunayani Devi have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2021 by the work Untitled (Dui Sakhee) at USD 15,120.00 (€ 12,875.76).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Sunayani Devi konnte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Childhood) für GBP 6.930,00 (€ 8.210,18) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Sunayani Devi wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im März 2021 die Arbeit Untitled (Dui Sakhee) mit USD 15.120,00 (€ 12.875,76).
