A top price for Sun Xueni
This artwork by Sun Xueni achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2015. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Peoples Commune sold for HKD 89,700.00 (€ 10,366.69) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. This high result makes Peoples Commune the most expensive artwork by Sun Xueni that we have observed at auctions so far.
