Artwork auctioned at 12 times the upper estimate price
When the work Bird by Sun Jiaqin was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2018, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 5,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than 12 times as high at HKD 61,360.00 (€ 6,909.23). Admittedly, works by Sun Jiaqin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work God In Song Style in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 590,000.00 (€ 68,927.73).
Kunstwerk zum Zwölffachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Bird von Sun Jiaqin im Oktober 2018 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 5.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 61.360,00 (€ 6.909,23) mehr als zwölfmal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sun Jiaqin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit God In Song Style im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 590.000,00 (€ 68.927,73).
