Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Bordello by Sukran Moral was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,898.91). Other works by Sukran Moral have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2009 by the work Artist at GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,479.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Bordello von Sukran Moral im April 2012 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.898,91) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Sukran Moral wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im März 2009 die Arbeit Artist mit GBP 12.500,00 (€ 13.479,38).
