Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Mirror Image by Steve Walton was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2005, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 384.00 (€ 564.14). Other works by Steve Walton have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2005 by the work Secret Formula at GBP 456.00 (€ 669.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Mirror Image von Steve Walton im November 2005 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 384,00 (€ 564,14) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Steve Walton wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2005 die Arbeit Secret Formula mit GBP 456,00 (€ 669,92).
