Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Hurricane Ridge by Stephen Morgan Etnier. The price achieved of USD 12,000.00 (€ 8,972.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Stephen Morgan Etnier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work We Can See the Mountains in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 54,000.00 (€ 42,563.25).
