The work Velsheda and Endeavour approaching the finishing line off the Royal Yacht Squadron, Cowes by Stephen J. Renard was sold in the Maritime Art auction at Christies in London in November 2010. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,643.12) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stephen J. Renard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yankee, Ranger and Endeavour II racing in the New York Yacht Club Criuse, 1937 in July 2004 with an auction result of USD 77,675.00 (€ 64,557.01).
