Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

In November 2013 Christies in London held the auction Maritime Art, which included the work Pinnacles Of Power: The Mighty Westward Outpacing Her Rivals by Stephen J. Renard. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,554.70). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stephen J. Renard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Yankee, Ranger and Endeavour II racing in the New York Yacht Club Criuse, 1937, which sold at auction in July 2004 for USD 77,675.00 (€ 64,557.01).

Im November 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Maritime Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pinnacles Of Power: The Mighty Westward Outpacing Her Rivals von Stephen J. Renard zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.554,70) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Stephen J. Renard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Yankee, Ranger and Endeavour II racing in the New York Yacht Club Criuse, 1937 beobachtet, die im Juli 2004 für USD 77.675,00 (€ 64.557,01) versteigert wurde.
