Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Britannia, Cambria And Lulworth Off The Royal Yacht Squadron; Cambria And Candida Off Norris Castle by Stephen J. Renard was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,004.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stephen J. Renard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yankee, Ranger and Endeavour II racing in the New York Yacht Club Criuse, 1937 in July 2004 with an auction result of USD 77,675.00 (€ 64,557.01).

Die Arbeit Britannia, Cambria And Lulworth Off The Royal Yacht Squadron; Cambria And Candida Off Norris Castle von Stephen J. Renard kam im Mai 2009 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.004,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stephen J. Renard erzielen.
