Despite a disappointment, a good price for Stepan Kolesnikoff
When the work Festival by Stepan Kolesnikoff was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 137,500.00 (€ 155,398.43). Despite this disappointing result, Festival is the most expensive artwork by Stepan Kolesnikoff that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Stepan Kolesnikoff
Als die Arbeit Festival von Stepan Kolesnikoff im Juni 2018 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 137.500,00 (€ 155.398,43) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Festival das teuerste Kunstwerk von Stepan Kolesnikoff, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
