Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Circus Maximus, Rome; and The Coliseum, Rome by Stefano Donadoni was sold in the At Home-British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper auction at Christies in London in November 2003. The price achieved of GBP 470.00 (€ 674.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Stefano Donadoni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Castel Sant' Angelo and the Ponte Sant' Angelo, Rome in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,531.76).
