Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Stanley McMurtry could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATIONS AND PRINTED BOOKS auction, the work "They've really started something - all I did was refuse my cornflakes this morning and the Guvernor asked me where I wanted to be moved to" changed hands for GBP 29.38 (€ 46.80) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 250.00 – 350.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stanley McMurtry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Oh, we talked about the recession and the econony - and what kind of day did you have Barbara, Honey?" in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 750.00 (€ 924.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Stanley McMurtry konnte im Dezember 2000 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATIONS AND PRINTED BOOKS wechselte die Arbeit "They've really started something - all I did was refuse my cornflakes this morning and the Guvernor asked me where I wanted to be moved to" für GBP 29,38 (€ 46,80) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 250,00 – 350,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stanley McMurtry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Oh, we talked about the recession and the econony - and what kind of day did you have Barbara, Honey?" im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 750,00 (€ 924,96).
