Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work James Dean 1957 by Sanford Roth for EUR 700.00. This price was achieved in the auction Fotografia at Il Ponte and was even below the estimate range of EUR 750.00 – 850.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sanford Roth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Joan Crawford, c. 1954, which sold at auction in February 2009 for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,480.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit James Dean 1957 von Sanford Roth für EUR 700,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fotografia bei Il Ponte erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 750,00 – 850,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sanford Roth mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Joan Crawford, c. 1954 beobachtet, die im Februar 2009 für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.480,81) versteigert wurde.
