Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek Aegina by Spyros Papaloukas was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Sothebys in London in November 2009. The price achieved of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 40,765.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Spyros Papaloukas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek boatyard At Pantokrator Monastery, Mount Athos, which sold at auction in November 2017 for GBP 141,250.00 (€ 160,339.76).
