In October 2010 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Bald eagle by Spencer Hodge. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,612.06), 60% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Spencer Hodge; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Cheetah at Ngorogoro Crater sold at auction in November 2000 with the realized price of GBP 4,465.00 (€ 7,297.87).

Im Oktober 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bald eagle von Spencer Hodge zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.612,06) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Spencer Hodge; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Cheetah at Ngorogoro Crater im November 2000 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 4.465,00 (€ 7.297,87).
