In the Contemporary Photographs auction, the work 'Christmas wreaths, Saint Lucie, a nice dog, railroad stations, the Eiffel Tower, all of that is beautiful' (from The Blind) sold for USD 30,240.00 (€ 26,177.29) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sophie Calle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Sleepers (Les dormeurs) in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 218,500.00 (€ 162,417.30).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sophie Calle auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Sleepers (Les dormeurs) im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 218.500,00 (€ 162.417,30).
