Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sonia Lewitska achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in June last year. In the L'Ecole de ParisA Modernist Diaspora auction, the work Route sur un pont sold for GBP 5,100.00 (€ 5,924.75) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sonia Lewitska - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Garden, which sold at auction in November 2012 for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,628.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sonia Lewitska erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion L'Ecole de ParisA Modernist Diaspora wurde die Arbeit Route sur un pont für GBP 5.100,00 (€ 5.924,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sonia Lewitska mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Garden beobachtet, die im November 2012 für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 14.628,80) versteigert wurde.
