This artwork by Song Yongping achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Two Girls sold for HKD 367,500.00 (€ 30,254.98) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Song Yongping; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Two Girls sold at auction in November 2010 with the realized price of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 49,401.66).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Song Yongping erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Two Girls für HKD 367.500,00 (€ 30.254,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Song Yongping; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Two Girls im November 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 49.401,66).
