Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2018 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Somboon Homtientong for HKD 27,500 (€ 2,902). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 30,000 – 50,000 set by the auction house. Other works by Somboon Homtientong have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2015 by the work at HKD 43,750 (€ 5,111).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2018 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Somboon Homtientong für HKD 27.500 (€ 2.902) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000 – 50.000. Andere Arbeiten von Somboon Homtientong wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2015 die Arbeit mit HKD 43.750 (€ 5.111).
