In February 2014 Christies in New York held the auction Interiors, which included the work The Westler by Solon Francis Montecello Badger. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,358.11), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Solon Francis Montecello Badger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The fishing schooner William H. Yerkes at sea in February 2006 with an auction result of USD 10,800.00 (€ 9,056.60).

Im Februar 2014 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Westler von Solon Francis Montecello Badger zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.358,11) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Solon Francis Montecello Badger auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The fishing schooner William H. Yerkes at sea im Februar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.800,00 (€ 9.056,60).
