Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figure with cart 50.5 x 65 x 19cm (19 7/8 x 25 9/16 x 7 1/2in). by Sokari Douglas Camp was auctioned at Bonhams in London in August last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,475.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sokari Douglas Camp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Naked Fish in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 13,812.00 (€ 16,031.17).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.475,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sokari Douglas Camp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Naked Fish im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.812,00 (€ 16.031,17).
