Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Ippopotami by Sirio Tofanari was auctioned at Il Ponte in April 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sirio Tofanari - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cicogna con piccoli, which sold at auction in June this year for EUR 5,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Ippopotami von Sirio Tofanari im April 2012 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 2.000,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Sirio Tofanari mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cicogna con piccoli beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für EUR 5.500,00 versteigert wurde.
