Sold at the upper estimate price
The work St Joan of Arc by William Blake Richmond was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2014. The auction ended at the price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 19,266.71), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Blake Richmond have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Watchers in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 72,500.00 (€ 81,426.82).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit St Joan of Arc von William Blake Richmond kam im September 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 19.266,71) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Blake Richmond auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Watchers im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 72.500,00 (€ 81.426,82).
