Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Six figure studies including: A man weaving; A standing boy; A female draped figure; A seated female figure; and Two figure compositions by Hubert von Herkomer was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2007. The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,778.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hubert von Herkomer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Miss Katherine Grant (The Lady in White) in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 96,914.21).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.778,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hubert von Herkomer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Miss Katherine Grant (The Lady in White) im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 96.914,21).
