Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Christies in London held the auction British Art: Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Enid the Fair by George James Frampton. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,125.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George James Frampton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peter Pan in February 2019 with an auction result of GBP 346,000.00 (€ 403,621.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion British Art: Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Enid the Fair von George James Frampton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.125,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George James Frampton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peter Pan im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 346.000,00 (€ 403.621,06).
