Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Francis Seymour Haden could be acquired at Christies in New York in November 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the THE HOUSE SALE auction, the work Kensington Gardens (Harrington 12) changed hands for USD 180.00 (€ 152.67) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 300.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Seymour Haden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Battersea Reach (Schniederman 48) in October 2001 with an auction result of GBP 1,116.25 (€ 1,804.02).
