In the Important Victorian & British Impressionist Art auction, the work Love among the Ruins sold for GBP 14,845,875.00 (€ 16,963,999.76) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000,000.00. This high result makes Love among the Ruins the most expensive artwork by Edward Burne-Jones that we have observed at auctions so far.
