A top price for Arthur Stockdale Cope - as previously expected
The work High up the Tamar by Arthur Stockdale Cope was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2004. The price achieved of GBP 418.25 (€ 627.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, High up the Tamar is the most expensive artwork by Arthur Stockdale Cope that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit High up the Tamar von Arthur Stockdale Cope kam im Mai 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 418,25 (€ 627,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist High up the Tamar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Arthur Stockdale Cope, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
