Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Simone Pignoni could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction, the work A Nun Saint changed hands for USD 27,500.00 (€ 19,826.96) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Simone Pignoni - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hl. Maria Magdalena, which sold at auction in November 2018 for EUR 54,560.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Simone Pignoni konnte im Januar 2010 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit A Nun Saint für USD 27.500,00 (€ 19.826,96) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Simone Pignoni mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hl. Maria Magdalena beobachtet, die im November 2018 für EUR 54.560,00 versteigert wurde.
