Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2002 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art and Fine 19th Century European Art, which included the work A Bouquet of Roses, Daisies and Violets with a Butterfly on a Mossy Bank by Simon Saint-Jean. The price achieved of USD 28,680.00 (€ 29,025.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Simon Saint-Jean have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Still Life of Roses, Tulips, Peonies, Carnations, Hollyhocks, Morning Glories, Dahlias and Raspberries in an Urn on a Carved Wooden Table in October 2005 with an auction result of USD 251,200.00 (€ 209,420.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2002 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art and Fine 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Bouquet of Roses, Daisies and Violets with a Butterfly on a Mossy Bank von Simon Saint-Jean zur Versteigerung kam.
