Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work The Trunk Of A Live Oak by Simon Denis for USD 7,200.00 (€ 5,539.31). This price was achieved in the auction Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Denis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View Of Monticelli, Near Tivoli in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 242,500.00 (€ 185,411.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Trunk Of A Live Oak von Simon Denis für USD 7.200,00 (€ 5.539,31) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00.
