In the Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners auction, the work The Conversion Of Saint Paul sold for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,873.34) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Simon Johannes van Douw - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Italianate landscape with travellers gathering by a fountain amongst classical ruins, which sold at auction in November 2010 for EUR 37,000.00.
