Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Simon Dubois could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work Portrait of a lady, traditionally identified as Louise de Kérouaille, Duchess of Portsmouth, three-quarter-length, in an amber silk dress and blue shawl changed hands for USD 900.00 (€ 704.61) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00.
